Womens month started out with us being a beneficiary of the Shoprite ACTS of WARMTH campaign. The celebs that accompanied them were, none other than our WP Rugby players, Cheslin Kolby, Kurt Coleman, Nic Groom, Nizaam Carr and Sikhumbuzo Nothse. This was an afternoon well spent and we received a cash donation and buckets with groceries.

Grootte Schuur Lions Club donated gifts to our ladies. 


The Ladies Fellowship, Pneuma Worship Centre, AFM church on Saturday, 8 August, doing an encouragement and ending the afternoon with a pampering session which included facials, manicures, pedicures and blowing of hair. 🙂 All the ladies received gifts


 Sunday, 9 August, Bernadette and Delene were speakers at St. Augustines Church, Lotus River, where we were given the opportunity to speak about our work.

Our own residents were treated to a special lunch and gifts from the office.


Jade from The Settlers High school, in her personal capacity, donate toiletries and clothes for the children


Same day, Sharon and Delene went to a conference for Homeless women at Youth Solutions Africa and motivated the ladies, giving them gifts from our access toiletries.


DA Councillor Ivan Iverson and Wilmot James arrived with toiletry bags for the ladies and the children


WCWSM held the Day of Elegance, for the residents at Joie De Vivre in Paarl. This was an amazing event and boosted the self-esteem of the ladies


Kazang a div of Paycorp, did a collection drive at their office and donated clothes, stationery and toys.


Ladies and Children attended the Hillsongs Sisterhood conference and received gumboots.


Delene and Lorna attended the Cape Town Interfaith Association event for women on Sunday 16 August


Delene went to do a presentation on domestic violence on Saturday, 22 August 2015 at the New Apostolic Church in Strandfontein

And we received a donation from the MY PLAYERS! Juan De Jongh nominated us and Sam, Manzi, CHESLIN KOLBE, SIKHUMBUZO NOTSHE, JOHNNY KOTZE came along for the handover.IMG_1950
